| Bilmar Beach Resort is a first class hotel located near St. Petersburg on Treasure Island. The rooms have picture windows that overlook the beach and the Gulf of Mexico and are beautifully appointed in an elegant style. Guest rooms also include a fully equipped kitchenette cooking facility complete with refrigerator, stove top, microwave oven and toaster. The hotel is minutes to fine dining, shopping, and entertainment. This property will begin a new renovation project around September 9, 2002 to better improve the facility and to be more accomodating to their many guests who return time and time again to the Bilmar. The property is adding a new meeting space and ballroom to accomodate guests with meetings and conventions. There is a new restaurant in the works for the property called "Sloppy Joe's" that is due to open in the near future and will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner with 150 inside seats and 150 outside seats. In true Bilmar style, nightly entertainment will be abound! All work is due to be completed around February, 2003! Construction will be done in segments and never in the evening or on weekends to assure optimal guest enjoyment. Restaurant will be completely closed from November through December 2002 for renovations. |
